BC Complex Kids is a grassroots collective of British Columbia families united in raising children with both medical complexity and disability. This advocacy organization focuses on three core areas: providing resources and support to their community, advocating for children’s complex needs at provincial and national levels, and engaging in research initiatives that use families’ stories and experiences to inform medical, government, and community systems.

Recognizing that children with medical complexity represent a small population yet require extensive support across home, community, and hospital settings, BC Complex Kids works to transform systems while helping families navigate existing supports. Through their private and public Facebook groups, resource compilations, and active board member advocacy campaigns, they create community connections and drive policy changes to improve outcomes for children with complex medical needs.
